Concierge on Disney Cruise: What does it get you, anyway?

Concierge is the Disney Cruise equivalent of First Class. It costs more and you have access to services and nicer rooms. But you also get very opaque things that most other guests don't even notice.

Sailing Concierge is less about WHAT you get and more about WHEN you get it

Priority Booking Windows

130 days prior to your sail date, I'm going to send an email to the Shoreside team detailing your onboard requests. I have a list of things I ask for and we're also going to talk in advance about what you want.

This is critical for securing those high-demand experiences like a private Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay Cabana (very difficult to get if not sailing Concierge), Royal Gathering, Palo/Remy, etc. You will be first in line and the team prioritizes Concierge requests. If these are all must-do? Concierge gives you a better chance at securing them.

Priority Boarding

You’ll check in at a dedicated area and be among the first guests to board the ship, giving you extra time to explore before the crowds arrive, no waiting on the sidewalk for you.

Exclusive Welcome Lunch

Everyone else on the ship has to scurry around and wait in various lines to get final details sorted out on embarkation day.

NOT YOU, MY FRIEND. You'll board early and go to a welcome lunch in one of the main dining rooms. At this time a Concierge team member will talk to each family about any last-minute requests or things they need. You don’t have to hustle around the ship getting on waitlists, the Concierge team will take care of it while you sip beverages and relax.

Effortless Debarkation

Getting off the ship doesn't seem like it will be a hassle but it's sort of like exiting the airplane: everyone wants to leave at the same time. Your Concierge team personally escorts you off the ship and through an exclusive exit, bypassing the crowds on the final morning, and yes there will be crowds.

Room Amenities

There’s a pillow menu for Concierge guests (feather, foam, etc), robes + slippers (you don’t get to keep them), upgraded bed linens, premium bath products. It's just nice.

The Concierge Lounge

We’ll talk about this more in the next section but it’s fantastic. A continuous spread of complimentary food and beverages throughout the day, including continental breakfast, light lunch, and a full evening happy hour with complimentary beer, wine, and spirits. Not just well beverages either, they will try and get whatever bottles you prefer.

It's also the perfect place to grab unlimited bottled water and sodas.

The Concierge Sundeck

The furniture up here is nicer, plusher, and it’s not as crowded. Complimentary sunscreen.

Priority Show Seating

You get to enter the Walt Disney Theatre before the doors open to other guests and have your choice of seats. On Destiny and Treasure, where Hercules and Moana are drawing huge crowds, this might be a big deal to you!

Plus, you get free popcorn while everyone else pays, this does seem like the LEAST Disney could do, but free is free we shall accept it.

Dedicated Onboard Team

Need to change a dinner reservation or arrange a last-minute surprise? Magic Band quit working? The onboard Concierge hosts are there to help with any request, so you never have to wait in line at Guest Services and trust me that line gets LONG.

Expanded Dining

Guests in a 1-bedroom suite or higher can enjoy hot meals from the main dining rooms or even Palo, delivered directly to their stateroom through an expanded room service menu. This doens't seem special until you get people'd out and think, "I might just like to eat here and enjoy the view." Are you getting it yet? Concierge is about OPTIONS.

Special Touches

The Concierge team is known for adding that extra "pixie dust" to your trip, from exclusive character meet-and-greets in the lounge to surprising you with an exclusive gift or amenity. Magic happens more often for these guests.

Food and Beverage

The Concierge Lounge is the premium benefit, it's the most tangible and it's what most people get hyped for (besides the nicer room).

Available throughout the day, the lounge provides a quiet retreat with a rotating menu of complimentary snacks, desserts, and premium drinks, and if you choose a room nearby it is terribly convenient to pop over for a bottle of water, cookie, etc.

All-day complimentary beverages

Continental breakfast

Lunch and afternoon snacks

Evening hors d'oeuvres and cocktails

Exclusive extras for Concierge guests

Room fridge stocked for you: Let the Concierge team know your preferences, and they will keep your in-room refrigerator stocked with your favorite bottled and canned beverages.

You can’t request things outside of the Coke family of products, but if it’s kept on the ship they’ll put it in your fridge.

Concierge Deposits are Non-Refundable

You may change your sail date or downgrade category, but the initial deposit remains non-refundable, forever.
